Gill Kirkup - Using a blog to think ‘professional’: Arrive late leave early- modelling bad behaviour

Yesterday I attended a staff development session. The timetable had arrived in various emails a number of times the previous week : register at 8.45 to start at 9.00. Finish at 4.45.  At 9.00 about 5 people had arrived the rest arrived between half and hour and an hour and fifteen minutes late. Only one apologised and said she’e emailed about her late arrival .

Flying Pigs, Iron Balloons, and Top Down Tagging

I love tagging and still persist in vain hopes that I can encourage others to do some shared tagging, but feel lucky if I can get a handful of people to use a single tag. I am regularly tagging web sites in delicious with tags destined to be repurposed on at least 10 different web sites, and am starting to wonder what my cranial capacity is to remember what topics I am tagging for.

Lovely Photo Derivatives

I try not to begrudge what others do, but as much as I use (and talk about) mining flickr for creative commons licensed images, I dont know what to make of those who uses a photo sharing site to post photos All Rights Reserved?

Tony Hirst - OUseful: Trendspotting Redux: Twist Twitter Trends

Several weeks ago, I set up a CoRank site to bookmark Google search trends to: Trendspotting.

I think I'm also going to use it as a place to bookmark interesting Twitter trends to, too, using the Twist twitter trend plotter:
