list of mostly UK-based 'repository' blogs (seems mostly centered around OAI-style institutional repositories)

It’s now only 4 weeks until I’ll be flying off to Ethiopia - my flight details arrived this week. I also now have only 2 weeks (till end Aug) left working at the OU, I’ve been at the OU for over 7 years and don’t think it’s sunk in yet that I’m actually going , though having the flight details makes everything somewhat more real!

The eagle eyed amongst you will have noticed that I’ve added a ‘VSO feeds’ section to the side bar. I wanted to be able to aggregate feeds from other VSO volunteers to show on my site, unfortunately the RSS widget built into Wordpress won’t aggregate feeds for you - you’d need to create a new wdiget for each feed - not really what I wanted.
You don’t have to be a “post some silly movie or photo or rant” every day blogger to be effective. When my RSS Reader lights up with a new post from Gardner Campbell, I drop what I am doing to go read.

If anything, as a blogger I find it insulting that Twitter is even considered to be in the same field as blogs or even micro-blogs.

The UNESCO OER Community are in the middle of a 2 week discussion about creating an OER Toolkit.

Grainne - learning activity competition - we all write learning activities on bits of paper, stuck up on wall around the outside of the room. Everyone rate them *, **, ***. Ask is this giving you good ideas? Online? Web2.0? (All learning activities will go in to Cloudworks.)

Just got an email from my colleague Cindy to say that our JCAL article on some of the research she did last year on the use of blogs in education is now out.
